Flash Airlines Fight 239 was a regularly scheduled charter flight operated by a Flash Airlines Boeing 737-3Q8 that was flying from Rome to Cairo. On October 6, 2003 the plane crashed into a field in El Sadat City not far from Cairo International Airport, after due to an mechanical failure and pilot error. All 100 passengers and 9 crew members on-board were killed, although one person initially survived but died on route to hospital, thus bringing the death toll to 109 fatalities.
